De Groene Uilen-Moestasj

What a weekend it was! All the roses were delivered, all the love was spread and all the brownies were eaten. The Owl Monthly went down very well, it’s nice to see everybody enjoy it. But back to what we are really here for, the beautiful game of basketball. On Friday we started off strong with a good game by Ladies’ First, even though they weren’t able to secure the win it was a great outing. On Saturday the Owls had a bit of a hard time waking up, maybe some people were still daydreaming a little bit too much about their special someone. After the first round though, we grabbed the bull by the horns together. 4 out of 5 games after that point were won. Even the game that was lost was a very good result, Men’s Second was able to keep it close and lose by just 8 points to the number one in their competition. We also have to take a second to appreciate Men’s Third’s game. They played an incredibly close game (including OT) and were able to secure the win against the number one in their competition! Well done men. Away from home the day was a bit more difficult for the ladies, no point were brought back home. Sadly this sentence also gives away the result of our battle this week. The ladies were only able to win 1 of their 6 games, the men were able to win 3 out of 6. The men re-grab their lead, with the score at 4 - 3.
