Costs of a membership

Of course, a year of membership at a fun basketball association like ours does not come for free. At De Groene Uilen-Moestasj, the amount of costs consists of:

1.     Contribution fee

2.     ACLO Card

Mandatory ACLO Card or MBO Sports Pass
To participate in the activities of Groene Uilen-Moestasj, it is mandatory to possess a valid ACLO card or MBO Sports Pass. This requirement ensures that all members can use the sports facilities and are insured during sports activities.

Why is this mandatory?
Our association’s trainings and activities take place in sports facilities that are only accessible with a valid sports pass. In addition, the pass offers several extra benefits, such as:

  • Access to sports facilities
  • Participation in group classes and training sessions
  • Insurance during sports activities

What do you need to arrange?
Before you can participate in training sessions or competitions, you must:

  1. Obtain and activate a valid ACLO card (for HBO/WO students), or
  2. Obtain and activate an MBO Sports Pass (for MBO students from Noorderpoort, Alfa-college, Terra MBO, and ROC Menso Alting) If none of these options apply to you, please send an email to bestuur@groeneuilenmoestasj.nl to discuss possible alternatives.

How do you apply for a pass?

  1. Go to the ACLO website or your (MBO) sports office
    1. ACLO: https://aclosport.rug.nl/pages/login
    2. MBO: https://aclosport.nl/mbo-sportpas/
  2. Log in with your school account
  3. Purchase the sports pass
  4. Activate your pass before your first training session

Important
Without a valid ACLO card or MBO Sports Pass, you unfortunately cannot participate in our activities. Checks will be carried out.
If you have any questions or run into any issues, feel free to contact the board.

3. Letter of Clearance

In some situations, a FIBA Letter of Clearance (LoC) is required before being allowed to play in competition games in the Netherlands:

  • When the last club that a player played for was outside the Netherlands.
  • When the player does not have the Dutch nationality, and wants to begin playing competition games in the Netherlands, regardless of whether the player played basketball before.

The LoC confirms that a player is free to transfer internationally, and is conditional on the player having no contractual or financial obligations at the old association/federation. The costs of the LoC are 250 CHF (Swiss Francs), which is around €265,-. If you want to become a game member at De Groene Uilen-Moestasj, the costs of the LoC are a one-time payment that needs to be made.

4.     Fines (only when members do not comply with the HR, see fine list)

The amount of the contribution fee is dependent on the team you are playing for. You authorize us as an association to withdraw both above-mentioned payments in accordance with the HR by signing the authorization form (which is part of your application form).

Important: When you do not sign out in time (before the 1st of June), a fine will be recharged. When you, subsequently, have not signed out before the 1st of July, your membership will be tacitly extended with a full season. In case you are interested in the full story behind this process: read through the HR! In that way, you will not face unpleasant surprises.

In the table below, you can find the current contribution fees by team:

Note: If it is indicated that you will only play for half a season at a (re)enrollment or before the silent elongation, this will be taken into account with the determination of the contribution. A member then pays the full union contribution and half of the club contribution, which will result in a little more than half of the contribution for a full year.
