Awh yeah, the sun is shining and the games have all been played! Yesterday was a great succes in our eyes. A lot of Owls were able to enjoy The Owl Monthly, the grilled cheese sandwiches, Santa and the Adventurepark Waddenfun sitting bags that were present for the first time. This made it an amazing Home Gameday! We would like to thank everyone who was present for making it such a great day. With an extra festive thanks to our Santa of course! The coziness and the great atmosphere was also very beneficial for the basketball. We really did see a lot of great games, the Owls just had a hard time to wake up in the morning. After that our Men’s Fifth and Sixth were able to grab a few very nice wins. Ladies' First sadly just lost, even though it was a tense game throughout. Even though they were not able to grab the points, in our eyes they were still able to walk off the court with their heads held high, bravo ladies! But of course as cherry on top the derby of our Men’s First against BVG Men’s First. A lot of friendly faces were present and playing against our men. With the stands filled up it was an awesome ending to and amazing day, but of course we were able to grab the W. That’s just the way it goes in the Owl’s Nest. Away from home 4 teams also give it their all to walk away with a victory. A few very exciting matches sadly fell the wrong way. Ladies’ Fourth’s game even needed overtime to decide the game! And lastly a quick look at who were able to become winter champions within the club. The men were able to win 3 out of 7 games. The ladies were able to win 1 out of 5 games. With that score the men were able to grab the victory and they are going into the Christmas break with a 3 - 2 lead!
